Overall Microsoft Project & Portfolio Management is a great tool to manage time sensitive projects.

What do you like best? The best part of this tool as compared to any other similar tools in my opinion is the ease of use and user friendly interface. There were a few people in my team who did not know how to use it but I was impressed with how quickly and easy it was for everyone to learn and start using it. Also, MPPM is easy when it comes to making changes in a schedule. I also like the way the reporting module is setup. It has a lot of good templates. What do you dislike? One ...

Great way to organize the team schedule.

What do you like best? I like the wide range of how much detail you want to put into the schedule. Having the options to make a simple gantt vs a wide, multifuncitoning schedule lets me have the flexibility depending on what my clients want to see. What do you dislike? Sometimes, the scheduling becomes a pain with the auto-adjustments when you shift the schedule. It would be good to have more intuitive controls for that. Recommendations to others considering the product Take some ...

Good fleshed out feature, but missing some utilization features such as collaborative useage.

What do you like best? I like that the product is not in beta, many functionalities are there. What do you dislike? That you can't work collaboratively on it. Recommendations to others considering the product Make it so that it's collaborative, it's much more powerful. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It's a good tool to use, but I think that JIRA works better for our company. It's much more powerful in terms of what you ...

The Standard Project Management Tool - Not the newest but the standard

What do you like best? Works as intended, powerful enough to do almost anything yet easy enough to set up small projects on the fly. Easy to import and export data to other Microsoft or non microsoft packages as needed. Has the ability to integrate with tools such as Onepager making it more powerful than the isolated product alone. What do you dislike? Wish it had better built in Visualization capability like One Pager offers as an add on. It does have some quirky behavior at time when ...

Better than using Excel for your projects!!

What do you like best? I like the Gantt chart feature and how flexible it is to meet your needs as well as other executives especially from the client side who have changing needs throughout the project lifecycle What do you dislike? Older version of MS Project didn't have ribbon feature where you would be able to hide it and display more features at your finger tips. The latest version I'm using at work (2016 is very versatile and adapts to your needs..our corporate IT teams helps us ...
