Don't have any dislikes yet It would be great if you develop a time tracking windows client What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Tickets, and time logging

I was just thrown into a project on Assembla

What do you like best? And having it all in there helped me a lot to get going quickly, while also being able to share the same platform with our customers and teammates. They specially seem to be very happy with it, they're the ones creating tickets and updating the wiki which is really nice for a distributed team. What do you dislike? I'm still now learning about some features Assembla has, despite being using it for a few months already. So although I'm all for minimalist ...

Assembla made my life easy

What do you like best? When I was first introduced to Assembla, it was very exciting to have both source code and tickets at once place. Assembla team kept introducing new featured at a rapid pace. Time to time they have introduced hooks, likes of ticket id and comments during code commits. Which allowed us to have better control at code quality. What do you dislike? It is not like disliking, but I would like to have a report of tickets which I have contributed at any level. ...

Easy ticket and code management

What do you like best? Ticket management is streamlined, assigning tickets to users is intuitive, @user mentions in comments are also displayed in the user's home screen. Server-side hooks (no commit without an open ticket) are having Templates for basic cases, which can be tuned. SVN integration drills down from Ticket to commit to code file and back, covering 60% of what an SVN client would have, but without having to switch to one (some users don't even bother maintaining an ...

It works, but there's a lot of room for improvement

What do you like best? Assembla combines project management, code management, issue tracking, time tracking, wiki, and other features to a level that may only be rivaled by GitHub. What do you dislike? In general nothing is polished nearly as well as competitor solutions. Assembla's support has addressed some of the quirks for us upon request, but we don't really have time to QA their software for them by pointing out all the oddities we see. Also, page loads can be slow... They ...

Grate tool for version controle

What do you like best? like the fact that you can use Assembla as a free tool for cloud-hosted source control. You can have as many users as you need to be connected to the same server. As a paid member, I can access excellent project management tools. Both managers and developers can easily use the software as it is not complex. Reporting is also very easy. Every user is able to see what everyone else is working on. Being a cloud-based too What do you dislike? It has always been ...

My experience with Assembla

What do you like best? Assembla is very useful code repository and project management tool. It has given us tremendous support and productive environment where we can customize the environment as required. What do you dislike? It is very difficult to find the tickets handled by a user in a financial year. Recommendations to others considering the product: Assembla will make your life very easy What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Often recommends to my clients

What do you like best? Integrated ticket and repository, with both seamlessly integrated it makes it easy to manage tickets and code repos. What do you dislike? Ticket management could be easier, but I do need to explore upgrades that have been made like card walls and such. Recommendations to others considering the product: Start out with minimal tools like tickets and repos, then add more like wikis and such. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

Great online tool for a flexible workplace

What do you like best? Ease of finding info on old jobs, and tracking communication and timing etc. Also, love using the sub tickets as the checklist for each project to see on the side a quick view of the status of each part of the project, and love having one image shown on quick view on cardwall - great for visual people. What do you dislike? Some parts feel a bit manual, like adding time, and only accurate if staff keep it up to date but it keeps updating and getting better ...

A flexible and friendly alternative to the ubiquitous Atlassian suite

What do you like best? Ticketing and source control integration - there are no unnecessary hoops to go through to configure a new project, and out Project Managers seem happy, too! They're constantly releasing incremental improvements, but allowing users to transition to new versions of the tools at their own pace - there's nothing worse than having to re-learn how a vital tool works when you're on a deadline, so having the option to defer is great. What do you dislike? We like to ...
