More bells and whistles than I need but a great service

What do you like best? The price but you get what you pay for. There are a lot of hidden fees in the "big dollar" payroll services but at Heartland it is more of a grocery list offering. What do you dislike? Sales guy was typical sales guy - sell and disappear. Instead of properly reviewing current offerings and putting together a plan to match current and Heartland offerings would have been simple but an additional exercise. Customer Service

What do you like best? All the representatives are very friendly and helpful. What do you dislike? The W-2 processing fee was higher than expected. Also, my specialist is supposed to contact me every 2 weeks so I can report payroll over the phone and I am always having to call. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? The monthly fee is lower than our last service and all reports are easy to locate on your site.

What do you like best? The online platform has more HR functionality and features than we had before. What do you dislike? Our Heartland account manager quite after we signed. Onboarding was a disorganized disaster. Our current account manager is only in the office for 3 hours at the same time we are because they're in a different time zone. What do you like best? Online Portal very easy to navigate and my customer service representative is very responsive. What do you dislike? Tax Department are not very timely in responding to an issue. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? They take care of everything. What do you like best? I like that no matter who I get on the phone, they are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They help me to better understand my payroll needs and encourage me to learn how to better use their services. What do you dislike? What do you like best? I like the access to all of my payroll data What do you dislike? Major changes to the system being made ahead of a holiday week. Poor communication between Heartland and timekeeping systems. Slow response time to issues. Almost impossibility of getting my rep on the phone. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Access to my own data; greater control over entire payroll process.

What do you like best? Heartland does a good job processing our biweekly payroll and submitting all the payroll taxes for us. What do you dislike? We are only on-board with Heartland for 1 year now, so hopefully it gets better, but for the first 12 months, Heartland staff made way too many mistakes processing our payroll.
